چکیده
Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE), comprising deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), presents an extra challenge in the management of patients with cancer, given increase morbidity mortality having both conditions. Cancer are well known to have a high risk VTE; particularly; those who had major surgery, chemotherapy and/or hormonal therapy. These groups need understand factors prophylactic measures prevent developing VTE. This review aims provide overview literature on cancer patients’ understanding VTE their experiences cancer-associated (CAT).
Method: A scoping was carried map explore types evidence available. structured electronic search conducted Embase, Scopus Medline June 2020. All titles abstracts from were evaluated independently by two reviewers disagreements resolved third arbitrator. Eligible papers qualitative studies reviews adult patients' experience thrombosis.
Results: Ten articles met inclusion criteria, nine primary one systematic that explored living CAT. Participants various types. Most advanced disease receiving palliative care. Four themes emerged data: Lack meaningful information CAT, unaware signs symptoms VTE, limited awareness CAT amongst HCPs acceptability anticoagulant.
Conclusion: context, all included showed participants about VTEs’ symptoms. However, no settings high-risk patients.

Treatment of venous thromboembolism in cancer patients.
The occurrence of venous thromboembolism complicates the management of the patient with malignant disease because of the need for anticoagulant therapy. Cancer patients have an ongoing thrombotic stimulus due to the underlying cancer and its associated treatments, but are also considered to be at increased risk for anticoagulant-related bleeding. In recent years, the results of clinical trials ...
متن کاملPrediction of venous thromboembolism in cancer patients.
The risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) is increased in cancer patients. To improve prediction of VTE in cancer patients, we performed a prospective and observational cohort study of patients with newly diagnosed cancer or progression of disease after remission. A previously developed risk scoring model for prediction of VTE that included clinical (tumor entity and body mass index) and laborat...

Venous Thromboembolism (VTE) is a common disease, comprising the life-threatening pulmonary embolism (PE) and its precursor deep vein thrombosis (DVT). In view of the clinically silent nature of VTE; the incidence, prevalence and mortality rates are probably under estimated (Kniffin et al., 1994). Although VTE is a common disease, fortunately it is preventable; identifying high risk patients an...
